You may have noticed a running theme with some of the many new 2024 sets revealed over the past few days. Regardless of the theme, there is the same LEGO Space branding banner included on several sets. It’s found on LEGO Classic, LEGO City, Friends, Technic, Creator 3-in-1 and even DREAMZzz sets. This officially makes 2024 the Year of LEGO Space.
LEGO City
LEGO City has always had a strong connection to space. Previous waves have taken LEGO City citizens on missions inspired by real NASA missions. These upcoming sets will see various crafts, aliens and colourful spacesuits.
LEGO Friends
Heartlake City has seen as many missions to the stars, but recent sets have featured flashes of space. The interest in stars will take some of the new Heartlake City gang into space where they will encounter similar life forms as their City counterparts.
LEGO DREAMZzz
LEGO DREAMZzz previously tapped into the nostalgia of Classic Space with Mr Oz’s Space Bus. A smaller vehicle in the upcoming wave of sets will continue to show Mr Oz’s fondness for space.
LEGO Classic
As well as LEGO Classic sets getting a brand refresh, one of the upcoming sets will also be joining in on the LEGO Space love, with the upcoming Creative Space Planets brick kit.
LEGO Creator 3-in-1
The Creator 3-in-1 sets have previously featured space-inspired sets. This upcoming set is a little more grounded in reality than some of the other sets in the LEGO Space sub-brand but still offers a trio of unique space-inspired builds.
LEGO Technic
LEGO Technic normally like to do its own thing but these upcoming sets will offer some rather interesting builds. The vehicles and ships are similar to those being offered by the LEGO City sets but far more complex. The highlight of the Technic space builds has to be the Sun and Earth diorama.
These new 2024 LEGO sets will be available in early 2024, which other themes would you like to see join the LEGO Space love in?
