Last November, the first wave of #LEGOwithUkraine custom sets raised 15,000,000 UAH (nearly USD $375,000) for reconstruction in Ukraine, helping to rebuild a country ravaged for more than two years now by Russia’s brutal and illegal invasion. The official United24 charity recently launched a new wave of five sets designed by LEGO builders from all over the world, titled #UKRAINEinLEGOBricks.

The five models are based on landmarks all over Ukraine, from Lviv in the west, the capital Kyiv in central Ukraine, and Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Crimea in the south on the Black Sea. The first wave of custom kits was designed by LEGO builders exclusivley from Ukraine, while this next group proves how much support the Ukrainian people have from all of us around the world — the builders represent the US, Germany, Poland, and of course Ukraine itself.

Be sure to check out each of the designs by clicking the images below, and you can learn more about each landmark, the builders, and how to win a copy of the kits by visiting the United24 website.

#UKRAINEinLEGObricks features five new models of Ukraine’s prominent landmarks: Golden Gate, Khan Palace, Pidhirtsi Castle, Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory. LEGO creators from four countries worked on this project: Eric Law and Mark Segedie from the US, Daniel Seidl from Germany, Maciej Kocot from Poland, and Aleksander Yermolaev from Ukraine.

#UKRAINEinLEGObricks’ goal is to introduce Ukraine’s architectural landmarks to the global audience, as well as to help raise funds towards the reconstruction of a school that was destroyed by russian troops.

“The first project that introduced Mother Ukraine, the Mariupol Tower and the Swallow’s Nest helped raise 15 million UAH, which went towards the restoration of Ukraine. We are very grateful to these LEGO creators, who not only responded to UNITED24’s appeal, but also took the initiative in choosing architectural objects. Despite the fact that some of them had never been to Ukraine, everyone managed to recreate each of the five landmarks in great detail. We will continue to keep the focus of international audiences on Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who supports us on this path.” — Yaroslava Gres, UNITED24 Coordinator.

These sets aren’t for sale, but anyone can win one by making a $24 donation towards the reconstruction of a school in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In total, 15 sets, 3 of each type, will be raffled off. The fundraiser will last from May 20 to June 20.

“I was truly humbled to design the Golden Gate set. I really enjoyed the challenge of combining a stone-based castle with a wooden structure.” — Eric Law, USA.

“The Khan Palace is a perfect example of Ukraine’s diversity. I am very happy to show the world this part of Crimean culture and contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine.” — Maciej Kocot, Poland.

“I was deeply honored to be approached by UNITED24. I chose Pidhirtsi Castle as the perfect blend of Ukrainian history and my passion for building castles with LEGO.” — Mark Segedie, USA

“I aim to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine, promoting its culture and helping to rebuild it, through the universal language of LEGO.” — Daniel Seidl, Germany.

“During the four years of the MiniMisto project, we created over two hundred models of architectural monuments of Ukraine. Half of them are buildings damaged by russian shelling. Thanks to UNITED24, I have an opportunity to introduce you to one of them.” — Aleksander Yermolaev, Ukraine.

All funds raised will go towards the reconstruction of Velykokostromska School in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, which was hit by a russian missile on October 11, 2022. You can support the fundraiser and help 250 children return to their studies: https://u24.gov.ua/ukraineinlegobricks
