LEGO has been doing the Marvel mech sets for a while now and this year, there’s two more to the lineup. The first one we’ll be checking out is the Spider-Man Mech vs. Anti-Venom (76308). The set has 107 pieces and retails for $14.99.
Minifigures
There are two minifigures in the set, Spider-Man and Anti-Venom. Spider-Man has been used multiple times before and is the de facto one that LEGO uses most of the time. There’s nothing too special about this one but he does have arm printing. His accessory is the large web piece that can close up to capture villains.
Anti-Venom is a brand new minifigure and is the first time LEGO has used the character. Anti-Venom is pretty much a heroic version of Venom. The color scheme is still black and white with the suit now being white and the spider on the chest and back being black. Its accessory is a white vine piece to represent his tendrils.
Build
The only part of the build is the Spider-Man Mech. You have the usual characteristics of these mechs. The cockpit opens up to allow Spider-Man to stand or sit inside and the front of the chest has a printed white spider emblem. I’m curious to know why LEGO used the white one if the minifigure is just the regular one. It would’ve made more sense if LEGO did the minifigure with the Advanced Suit 2.0 printing.
