LEGO Icons Blacktron Renegade (10355)

The Renegade is one of the more recognizable Blacktron sets from 1987 and LEGO has released a reimagined version in 2025 with the LEGO Icons Blacktron Renegade (10355). The set has 1,125 pieces and retails for $99.99. This is the second Classic Space set that LEGO has redone with the first being the Galaxy Explorer (10497).

Minifigures

There are three minifigures in the set which are the Blacktron spacemen. The look pretty similar to the ones for the original Blacktron theme. The torsos have printing of the spacesuit on the front and back. They also have air tanks and helmets to complete their look.

Build

Before we get to the main build, there is also a small droid that is also similar to the ones in the original sets.

As for the Renegade, it has a similar shape like before. Unlike your traditional ships, the Renegade is asymmetrical and it has a modular design. On the right side, you have the cockpit and right behind it we have bridges that connect to the body of the ship.

On the sides, there are a couple of small space speeders. They are stored on the side wings on the jumper plates. They use a trio of yellow flag pieces to make the shape of the Blacktron symbol. The minifigures can stand on the speeder but you have to move the flags for them to do so.
