LEGO TRANSFORMERS Return With Bumblebee

Last year, the LEGO Group surprised everyone with a brick-built version of TRANSFORMERS’ Optimus Prime. Now the partnership with Hasbro continues with the addition of another Autobot. Next month Optimus Prime will be joined by B-127 aka Bumblebee. As one of the original G1 TRANSFORMERS, Bumblebee first appeared in the iconic animated series, where he could transform into a VW Beetle. The character would return for the live action films where he became a Chevy, although his origin movie reintroduced the Beetle version of the character. In LEGO form, Bumblebee is shown his G1 form and just like LEGO Optimus, Bumblebee can also transform. The set will be available from July 1st for Insiders, ahead of a general release on July 4th.
