Last month LEGO® Ideas launched a challenge to find a set inspired by a popular 80’s TV or film. Then the five sets vying for the first fan vote were revealed. However, an error saw two designs from the same fan designer. So the Goonies-inspired project has been replaced with one inspired by Disney’s Honey I Shruck the Kids. It joins previous projects, E.T., Karate Kid, Gremlins, and Beetlejuice. Details on a second fan vote have also been confirmed. Five additional 80’s-inspired sets will be up for a fan vote with one of those also becoming a future set. Despite the hiccups, the results of the first fan vote will still be revealed on June 14th.
