Celebrating 5 Years Of LEGO Monkie Kid

This year makes the ‘5th anniversary’ of the LEGO® Monkie Kid theme. The theme launched in 2020 and was introduced to capture the emerging popularity of the LEGO brand in China. The sets are often linked to the Chinese New Year, with new additions to the range being revealed alongside the annual Lunar New Year offerings. To mark the anniversary four new sets have been released including the Megapolis City set, which can be combined with other Monkie Kid sets, 80036: The City of Lanterns and the 80044: Monkie Kid’s Team Hideout. The anniversary set is also packed with references to classic LEGO themes. Megapolis City and other new LEGO Monkie Kid sets are available now exclusively from LEGO.com globally and selected LEGO stores.
