LEGO has been making Marvel mechs for a little bit now and the latest lineup is the War Machine Mech Armor (76277). The set has 154 pieces and retails for a reasonable $14.99.
Minifigure
The only minifigure here is War Machine. This version of the suit uses more of a light gray color scheme for some contrast on the usual dark gray. There’s also some red on the middle of the chest as well as for the eyes. The faceplate is able to open up to reveal James Rhodes’ smirking face. He does come with a separate hair piece if you want to take the whole helmet off.
Build
The only part of the build is the mech itself which is basically a larger version of War Machine. The minifigure sits in the cockpit where the chest opens outwards with just enough space to fit him in. The chest has a printed 2×2 tile of the red arc reactor similar to what the minifigure has.
The arms and upper torso are where all the play features are at. There’s some shoulder cannons that flank the minifigure but they look kind of wimpy compared to the other weapons he has.
The left hand has articulated fingers as well as a stud shooter mounted on the wrist. The palm of the hand has a translucent-red round tiles for the repulsors.
