Whether it’s taking a trip down memory lane or recreating the beauty of iconic historical engineering pieces, there’s a LEGO set for that. The most iconic LEGO pieces are not just artworks but also relaxing and, we would add, therapeutic, as you place one piece over the other. Then, you have the appeal of having historic pieces in your collection, whether Star Wars, Harry Potter, or City Technique.

When it comes to the most iconic LEGO sets, size isn’t a limitation for the creative mind. You’ll have those with just a few thousand pieces to put together and those with over 10,000 pieces.

The LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower stands out as our most iconic LEGO piece in 2025. It’s a monument that stands over a meter once you build it. We’ll tell you more about it and other iconic sets you shouldn’t miss, especially if you are a collector.

For the pieces listed on this page, LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK | Australia) still has most of them on sale. Those that aren’t on sale can be bought from secondary sources.

Most Iconic LEGO Pieces in 2025

The Top Iconic LEGO Sets

The following are the top iconic LEGO sets:

1. The LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower

Modeled after the famed Parisian architecture, the LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower is a masterpiece to own. It is a 360-degree model that reconstructs everything about the original, from the arches to the supports, cross-bracings, and railings. Even the view from beneath is just as breathtaking as standing under the original tower.

There are other LEGO brick models of this tower, but none come close to the size of this 2022 release. The dimensions are 59 inches in height and 23 inches in width and depth. That makes it one of the tallest LEGO sets to date. In other words, you’ll need a pretty big garage to put this creative piece in after assembling the pieces.

To represent the iconic French landmark better, the LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower has the elevators, a broadcast tower, the beautiful trusswork, and a French flag to crown its grandeur at the top.

The Eiffel Tower set has 10,001 pieces, which isn’t the most from LEGO. For quick and experienced LEGO builders, this set shouldn’t take more than 10 hours to assemble. However, if you are starting out in the industry, you might need a little above 25 hours to put the pieces together.

LEGO has graciously supplied three instruction booklets and 74 numbered bags to help with the construction. It is one of the most expensive LEGO sets ever released.

You can get the LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower #10307 light kit to beautify the tower even further. The kit will have RGB strip lights to fit across each of the three levels of the tower. With these, you can create multiple color combinations to make the tower come alive at night.

2. The LEGO Art World Map

This set is a perfect option for travelers. It is not only iconic but also customizable and interactive. Most importantly, you can hang it on your wall to beautify your home once it’s done.

Assembling this piece will be truly memorable, relaxing, educational, and refreshing. That is because the piece doesn’t come alone. Instead, LEGO has created a unique, extensive soundtrack to go with it as you assemble the world map.

The soundtrack for the LEGO Art World Map set features interviews with professional wanderlusters. Travel fanatics are also featured in the interviews to create a truly immersive experience.

As for the map itself, you’ll have to put together 11,695 pieces, making it one of the biggest sets of all time. While at it, feel free to put your patterns in the oceans, choose which continent will be at the center, and make other customizations to model the art to your taste.

You can also use the map to track your travels alone, with friends, or with family. Do these by placing pins or allocating colors to the places you’ve visited. This approach will help you identify yet-to-be-visited travel hot spots worldwide.

Before building your own piece, you can explore the maps from other designers via the inspiration gallery. That will undoubtedly inspire you to transform your  LEGO Art World Map set in your unique style.

The dimensions for the map are 26 inches in height and 41 inches in width. It is classified as hard to find on the LEGO platform, but is rated as great value for money when you do.

3. LEGO Icons Titanic

Although the Titanic has been dwarfed by modern cruise ships, it was truly the largest passenger ship when it debuted in 1912. It was also an engineering marvel, packing all the trappings of luxury travel at the time, until it sank to the bottom of the ocean.

Now, you can recreate this marvel with the LEGO Icons Titanic set. But we must warn you that you’ll need quite the space to place the ship on once assembled. The ship measures 54 inches in length, 18 inches in height, and 7 inches in width. It is a true 1:2000 scale representation of the legendary ship, and you’ll need over 9,000 pieces to recreate it.

The building experience is truly remarkable, offering a first-class feel. You’ll find a remarkable cross-section, with three sections that allow access to the grand staircase, the boiler room, and more exclusive areas, but it doesn’t end there. Feel free to open the model and turn the propellers with the piston. You can also adjust the tension line between masts and build the swimming pool.

This set debuted in 2021 and remains one of the best LEGO sets for adults ever released. The intricate details and classical appearance make it memorable for anyone who sets their eyes on it. You’ll also get a LEGO Titanic nameplate to complete your recreation.

The LEGO Icons Titanic is rated exclusive and costs $679. And like the Eiffel Tower, you can add LED or RGB lights to the setup to make it more iconic.

4. LEGO Colosseum

The LEGO Colosseum is not just one of the most iconic LEGO pieces in 2025 but also one of the best for investment. It is a 9,036-piece LEGO set released in 2020. Although retired in November 2023, it still retains a value of over $1,000 for the new and sealed pieces. You can get them in secondary markets or get used models on the open market. Note, however, that there will be price differences in the markets.

This piece is the perfect art for history and architecture lovers. It is a LEGO model of the famed Roman Colosseum. The oval display base supports the structure’s facade, the arches, and the three stories with columns and other fascinating details of the most iconic amphitheater in history.

Every detail, from the surviving archways to the free-standing elliptical shape that can hold up to 80,000 spectators, putting this LEGO set together is just as beautiful as the finished product. The piece reproduces original features of the Colosseum, including the travertine paving stones, the olive trees, and, not forgetting, the hypogeum.

The hypogeum is the structure beneath the floor of the arena. You’ll get to rebuild the intricate and mysterious underground network.

You can expect a building challenge for this LEGO set. The building typically takes 15 hours to assemble all three stories. It is 10.5 inches high and 20.5 inches wide. Our recommendation is to take a few hours daily and spread out the building process across days.

5. The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell

Middle Earth comes alive once again with this LEGO set. It is one of the most iconic LEGO pieces in 2025, measuring 16 inches in height, 29 inches in width, and 20 inches in depth. There are about 15 mini-figures to complement the art piece, which itself has over 6,000 pieces to assemble.

The characters and details reveal themselves as you build, making the building process fun and engaging. You can recreate your favorite scenes in the series or create new ones using the characters and details.

Prominent characters in this LEGO set include Frodo Baggins, Bilbo Baggins, Boromir, Elrond Half-Elven, Arwen, Aragorn, Gimli, Gandalf the Grey, Legolas, and Samwise Gamgee. It’s The Fellowship of the Ring, but this time, right beside you.

The LEGO Lord of the Rings: Rivendell building set has foliage that takes you deep inside the Rivendell forest. It also includes magical details for an even more enchanting allure. These are the Elven Forge, the Shards of Narsil, Elrond’s cluttered study, and paintings and statues that define the history of Middle-earth.

You can detach the legs from the minifigures to put them in sitting positions. A scene we recommend is the iconic Council of Elrond, for which the prominent minifigures are appropriately dressed.

The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set is still on sale for $499.99. It is a set for adults, and we recommend it not just to those who love the Middle-earth tales but to anyone who wants an adventurous and magical theme.

6. The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr

This set is another Lord of the Rings piece. However, it takes you down to the Dark Tower, one of the most iconic locations in Middle-earth. Every detail is captured by the LEGO pieces, and you have about 5,471 of them to put together.

The LEGO shop is offering this piece with over 2,900 LEGO Insider points when you purchase it. You can get it for $459.99, but be aware that the prices may change when you read this article.

You’ll get the pieces in the package alongside 10 minifigures. Popular among them is the Mouth of Sauron. All minifigures are well detailed to represent their characters in full capacity.

Building the Dark Tower is an enchanting and fun process as one piece goes on top of or beside another. When you are done, the tower will stand over 32.5 inches tall.

Inside the tower are the Palantir stone and hidden gems. You can turn the brick button to open and close the gates, adding flair to the setup. Did we mention that the Eye of Sauron also moves in this iconic LEGO piece? Oh yes, it does in all directions. Even better, it is illuminated by a light LEGO brick. You can further add helmets and other elements to the characters.

There is a throne room and a map of Middle-earth inside the tower. Sauron himself is also present as an exclusive model with a new helmet to rule over the Dark Tower.

The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr is a worthy addition if you have the Rivendell piece. It is an expansion to the Fellowship, and you can add the Shire as well.

Overall, this piece is a much-loved, iconic, and classic LEGO that offers a play experience and value for money.

7. Avengers Tower

Marvel had its go at assembling Earth’s mightiest heroes. Now, it’s your turn to do so by building the Avengers Tower, but it doesn’t end there. The set contains an all-star cast of 31 figures to bring the Infinity Saga battles to life.

You can recreate your favorite Avengers movie scenes with the figures and pieces. Whether it’s Ant-Man, War Machine, or the Hulk smashing things, the LEGO Avengers Tower set lets you relive thrilling moments with legendary Marvel characters.

Besides the heroes, the set also contains Kevin Feige at the helm of affairs. You can assemble your team inside the tower or as characters around the tower.

One side of the roof and tower is removable. Removing it gives you access to the interior, where LEGO has laid out details and accessories to evoke memories of your favorite scenes.

For a more immersive, battle-like stance, you can add the Leviathan, 2 Chitauri chariots, and the QuinJet.

Wherever you turn at the Avengers Tower set, there’s action for you. Whether it is investigating the scepter, launching the QuinJet, or watching Captain America fight himself on the glass walkway, there’s something for every Marvel fan. The set tops off the experience with authentic replicas of prominent items like Thor’s hammer, the Tesseract, and a dropped page to notify Captain America.

The Avengers Tower goes for $499.99 as of this writing. It is among the exclusive LEGO sets on the shop platform.

8. The Lion Knights’ Castle

This piece is another one of LEGO’s best, selling for $399.99, but that’s not all. You’ll get over 2,000 LEGO Insider points when you purchase it from official sources. And, depending on when you buy it, you might get some gifts to go with your iconic set.

The Lion Knights’ Castle is one of the most iconic LEGO pieces for historians and adventurers. It not only mimics the original castle set from 1984 but also brings back the memory with more galore and quality. It is a celebration of the 90 years of LEGO history with characters and elements to make the experience even better.

Putting the Lion Kinghts’ Castle together is a journey of discovery as the castle hosts all kinds of rooms with unique details. It has over 4,500 pieces for the construction and 22 minifigures to add flair and story to the piece. You can rearrange the mini-figures to create your preferred scenes.

The minifigures include the queen, knights to guard the castle, archers for further protection, a wizard, and forest people. We can already imagine dozens of scenes you can create with these characters.

Once fully set up, the Lion Knights’ Castle has a height of 15 inches, a width of 18 inches, and a depth of 13 inches. Some of the things you can expect to find include hidden passages, secret hideouts, a portcullis that opens, a medieval drawbridge, a mill with a turning waterwheel, living quarters, towers and turrets, and an armory. These are more than enough to set the stage for battles and daring escapes.

9. The Millennium Falcon

Whether you are a Star Wars enthusiast or not, you can’t help but appreciate the legendary status of the Millennium Falcon. This set is available now as part of LEGO’s Star Wars collection. Getting it now will cost you $849.99. While on the higher side of the spectrum, you can be sure of getting value for money, including Insider points and gifts (depending on when you purchase it).

The Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic LEGO pieces. Spanning a length of 33 inches, a width of 23 inches, and a height of 8 inches, the set makes for an appealing room decor. Even better, the building process is fun, with classic crew weapons including Han Solo’s blaster pistol and Chewbacca’s stud-firing bowcaster.

There are 7,500 pieces to put together to make this impressive model. The Corellian freighter spots all the details of the original, in LEGO style, of course. Starting from the intricate exterior detailing to the upper and lower quad laser cannons, this piece is sure to bring back memories of the iconic battles it went through in the Star Wars franchise.

You’ll get the landing legs, a lowered boarding ramp, and even a 4 minifigure cockpit with a detachable canopy. You can remove the hull plates individually to see the highly detailed main hold, the gunnery station, and the rear compartment.

The interchangeable sensor dishes and crew add flair to the design, allowing you to play out classic Star Wars adventures with Han Solo, Leia, C-3PO, and Chewbacca. Or, you could enter Episodes VII and VIII with an older Han, a much more energetic Rey, and Finn with BB-8.

10. AT-AT

The AT-AT remains one of LEGO’s best thanks to its impressive stance and legendary place in the Star Wars universe. It will be an appealing addition to the Rebuild the Galaxy set and other Star Wars pieces.

You’ll have to assemble 6,785 pieces to get the AT-AT all together. But the effort is all worth it, and we recommend you take your time with it instead of rushing over the construction. The fun is as much in the process as it is in the final assembled piece.

As one of the most iconic LEGO pieces, the AT-AT adds nine minifigures for you. With these minifigures, you can create scenes to elevate the viewing and building experience.

Note that this model has been sold out on the LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK | Australia). The official price is $849.99, but we reckon you’ll find it for a much higher price in a secondary market. Most users report a good value for money with this piece.

The AT-AT has authentic details, making it a fan favorite. From the superior and original weaponry with rotating cannons and a hatch for bomb drops to the nine minifigures to create ground battles, there is much to create with this set. There’s even an E-Web heavy repeating blaster you can position against the rebels in your battle scene.

Inside the war machine, you’ll find the general in the cockpit with Luke Skywalker hanging from a cable. The AT-AT is indeed a collector’s dream, and one we recommend you get among other iconic LEGO pieces. It is a statement as it sits on your shelf or display, and you can even move the legs to strike a pose with your piece. And let’s not forget the resale value the piece has.

11. Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser

We highly recommend the Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser for all Star Wars LEGO collectors. It is a perfect addition to the Millennium Falcon and the AT-AT, but not that expensive. The price, as of this writing, is $649.99 at the official market. It will be much higher at secondary or open markets, as it is a great value for money from our experience.

Assembling this piece is no easy feat. You’ll have to put together over 5,300 pieces, each piece giving a unique detail to the iconic cruiser. There are only two minifigures, meaning there aren’t many scenes you can create with this LEGO piece. Still, it remains one of the most iconic LEGO pieces made for the Star Wars franchise.

Once assembled, the Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser has a height of 13 inches, a width of 22 inches, and a length of 43 inches. The final assembly will undoubtedly take you to a galaxy far away, with the iconic red and white color combo.

You’ll find a scale model of the Republic gunship in one of the hangars. Add Captain Rex and Admiral Yularen minifigures, and you have a cruiser ready for battle.

If you want this piece, then we’d recommend adding the Imperial Star Destroyer and the Super Star Destroyer pieces. All together in one spot, they represent some of the deadliest starships in the Star Wars franchise. You’ll also have a collection that is exclusive and hard to find in most cases.

The Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser is built for display with a built-in display stand and an information glass. It is also an ideal gift idea for adults, as it is best handled by an advanced LEGO builder or a collector of LEGO Star Wars UCS sets.

12. Hogwarts Castle

You can put a bit of magic into your LEGO collections with the Hogwarts Castle, a reminder of the Harry Potter series. The produce has over 6,000 pieces that come together to tell a story of magic and adventure. As of this writing, this LEGO set sells for $469.99 with LEGO Insider points available for the buyers.

The Hogwarts Castle is a microscale model of the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is packed with intricate and authentic details that will appeal to any Harry Potter fan. From the corridors to the rooms and halls, the model is lined with minifigures to give meaning to the scenes. You can even work on the buildable blue flying Ford Anglia car.

The staircases in this model are movable, and you can build the stained glass windows for more dramatic effects. Adding flair to the model are four top Harry Potter characters: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin, and Rowena Ravenclaw. There are 27 other microfigures to add meaning to different sections of the famous castle.

We recommend adding this set with the Hogwarts Icons – Collector Edition and the Diagon Alley. All three will form an impressive display anywhere.

Some of the features you can expect at Hogwarts Castle include a potions classroom with racks of jarred elements, the Chamber of Secrets with the basilisk and Tom Riddle’s diary, and a library with bookcases and desks. Other notable features are the Gryffindor fireroom with a fireplace, a hidden devil’s snare room with vine elements, flaming torches, moving staircases, and Professor Dumbledore’s office with the Griffin Statue entrance and the Memory cabinet.

Once built, the Hogwarts Castle measures over 22 inches in height. The width and breadth are 27 inches and 16 inches, respectively.

13. The Ferrari Daytona

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 shot to fame after topping the 24 Hours of Daytona in February 1967. It was the first of the top three, leaving behind a legacy that will last into the 21st century. Today, you can get the LEGO set of this legendary vehicle for $449.99 with gifts and insider points.

It takes 3,778 pieces to assemble this icon. Once done, you’ll get a LEGO model that measures 10 inches in width, 24 inches in length, and 6 inches in height. The red color and blue interior make it unmistakable once placed on a shelf or a table.

The Ferrari Daytona is our top recommendation for car collectors. You’ll have a fun process putting it together, from the powerful V12 engine to the 8-speed sequential gearbox with a paddle shifter. Even the doors replicate the iconic butterfly doors of the original, ensuring you don’t miss out on any detail that made the original car an icon of the automotive industry.

You’ll get chrome-painted rims with a detachable roof you can take out after the assembly for a much more free-spirited feel. To top off the design, LEGO provides the Ferrari logo among other crucial details.

For an even more fun experience, you can pick up all the bricks and pieces needed to create the perfect pit stop for your car. You’ll get those from the Pick and Brick LEGO stop (USA | Canada | UK | Australia).

The Ferrari Daytona tops our charts for the most iconic LEGO pieces for car enthusiasts. It is made for making a display statement, with LEGO’s highest quality.

You’ll get good value for money with this piece. The resale value is still high, and the price in the open market is even higher than what you’ll get at LEGO’s official shop.

14. Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000

You don’t have to be in the construction industry to appreciate the engineering behind the Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000. It is currently the most powerful conventional crawler crane in the world. You’ll find it in industrial environments where equipment weighing 1,500 tons has to be erected.

The LEGO Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 set is a masterpiece micromodel of this crawler crane engineering. It is our top recommendation for construction experts. Even better, you only have 2,883 pieces to put together, compared to other sets in this list with over 5,000 intricate pieces. That shouldn’t take long, like the rest on this page.

You can get the LEGO Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 for $699.99 on the official LEGO shop. The model features realistic movement like the original. Better still, you can control the movement with the CONTROL+ app.

Movements to check out include the tank steering system, the rotating turntable, and the luffing jib. There’s more to explore.

As of 2023, the LEGO Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 was one of the largest sets in the LEGO Technic range, standing over 39 inches in height.

Final Tips and Thoughts

If you have any of these sets sitting on the shelf yet to be unboxed, now is the ideal time to whip them out and get to construction. We say that because LEGO periodically retires sets, and we wouldn’t want you looking for a missing piece when your set is retired. The retirement is to give room for new stock, and we know LEGO has much more in stock for fans and enthusiasts.
