There are less than two weeks left to take advantage of the LEGO Tax Holiday Break.

If you are living in Canada, there will be a GST/HST tax break from December 14, 2024 to February 15, 2025. LEGO toys qualify for the tax break as well. It applies to all Canadian retailers including big box stores like Amazon.ca Canada, LEGO Shop at Home Canada and more.

Depending on which province you are from, you may either get GST or HST tax break. Some provinces like Ontario gets HST break (13%) while some provinces like British Columbia only gets GST break (5%).

The GST/HST tax break applies to a limited amount of items including foods, beverages, restaurants, children’s clothing, children’s toys, video games and consoles and more. Note that toys are those that are intended for children under the ages of 14. If the toy is marketed towards adults or those above the age of 14, it will not qualify.

Basically, LEGO toys that are marked under aged 14 will qualify for the LEGO tax holiday break. Any LEGO marked above aged 14 will not qualify.

Full details of the GST/HST tax break can be found on the Government of Canada website.
