Commissioned by the U.S. Military during World War II, this wartime workhorse was designed in just two weeks by a little known manufacturer called Bantam. The overwhelming success of the Jeep, a reliable “sardine can on wheels” actually inspired the creation of the original Land Rover. After seeing this automotive engineering masterpiece at MoMA – one of just eight vehicles in their permanent collection – I knew I had to build the Technic version – designed by gyenesvi – for myself.
