The LEGO Ideas team have just revealed the results of the latest review period, and two project are going to become LEGO sets.

There were 42 projects included in this review and while some of them were never going to become LEGO sets there were certainly a few that I could see getting over the line. But what did make it? Here are the two successful projects.

The Italian Riviera

This looks fantastic and also expensive. This one it will be interesting to see what the LEGO designers do to make this product ready. I am expecting there will be some changes.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

This project was always going to come down to licensing and it looks like LEGO was able to sort that out. The original film is such a beloved classic that it just makes sense that LEGO would want to do this. They love trying to monetise nostalgia and fans of this film are right in the sweet spot of having some disposable income.

Pricing, timing and final sets are still a while off.
