As part of this year’s 25th Anniversary of the LEGO® Star Wars theme, Disney+ is now streaming a ‘four-piece’ animated LEGO Star Wars series called Rebuild the Galaxy. As the name suggests, things in the galaxy far, far away have become completely mixed up after an ordinary nerf-herder called Sig Greebling unearths a powerful artefact from a hidden Jedi temple. The result is a wild, twisted version of the LEGO Star Wars galaxy where iconic characters take on unexpected guises. Many of the characters from LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy appear in the three sets inspired by the animated specials. Here’s a closer look at the Minifigures featured in the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy sets.

Rebuild The Galaxy Meet The Minifigures

75388: Jedi Bob’s Starfighter

The whole basis of the Rebuild the Galaxy specials is an obscure Minifigure which appeared in the Republic Gunship set released in 2002. The unnamed Jedi was soon given the moniker ‘Jedi Bob’ by fans. This was then highlighted in one of DK Books’ LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedias. Jedi Bob has now become part of the LEGO Star Wars zeitgeist as the central character in Rebuild the Galaxy. He also appears in the newly released Jedi Bob’s Starfighter set. The minifigure matches the character’s original appearance and is joined by an Ackbar Trooper, which is an Imperial version of a Mon Calamarian.

75393: TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up

After the cornerstone of the Galaxy is dislodged, things start to get rebuilt in odd ways. This includes the Imperial Navy and the Rebel Alliance swapping roles. But the mix-up doesn’t end there, as their iconic crafts have been mashed up as well. TIE Fighters become TIE Wings and X-Wings become X-Fighters. Along with the odd takes on two Star Wars ships, the set includes five characters from the show. Along with TIE Wing and X-Fighter pilots, the set features two original characters created for Rebuild the Galaxy, Yesi Scala and Sig Greebling. Both characters’ names are inspired by aspects of LEGO history with Yesi’s surname taken from the girl-focused theme from the late 70s. Sig’s surname is inspired by the process of adding detail to surfaces. They are joined by a colour new astromech Droid dubbed L3-G0, see what they did there?

75389: The Dark Falcon

It’s not just Jedi Bob who has originated from fandom, for many years fans have suggested Jar Jar Binks was a secret Sith Lord and helped bring the Imperial Forces to power. That farfetched suggestion has inspired Darth Jar Jar, who is now an evil, Lightsaber-welding Sith Lord. He’s not the only good guy gone bad, protocol Droid C-3PO become a Bounty Hunter. The vision seen in The Rise of Skywalker showing Rey’s fall to the Dark Side has inspired the Darth Rey Minifigure. Famed Jedi Master Luke Skywalker is now taking things easy in his new guise of Beach Luke. The most powerful Sith Lord, Darth Vader, has taken a new path, one which sees him embrace the good within him to become the white armour-clad, Jedi Vader. Finally, another original character joins the bad guys aboard the Dark Falcon, called Darth Dev, another Sith Lord.
